E3 2018: Every Game Confirmed For The Show

From Craftpedia

As with the dog from Fable II , The Journey's designers clearly want players to emotionally invest in Seren. Gabriel can brush her, feed her apples, and occasionally has to tend to her injuries - players mime the motion for pulling arrows from her flesh, then use the magic of the gauntlets to heal the gaping wound left behind. For that matter, Seren is rendered beautifully: shiny coat with distinct hair, attentive, believably alive eyes - but it's all for nothing. She has no agency, no obvious personality or bearing on events. Seren's defining characteristic is that she's a pain in the ass to control, and dramatic story points that hinge on her fall flat as a result. Gabriel may care deeply about Seren, but the player never d

For that matter, The Journey's voice acting and score are both top notch, as is the on-screen performance of Gabriel during cutscenes, his subtly exaggerated features easily communicating a wide range of emotions and clearly reflecting his state of mind. He's a likable, distinct hero who frankly deserves a better game. Perhaps he'll get it when Xbox 720 and Kinect 2.0 - with its rumored ability to read lips and recognize emotions - roll around, but for now, there's just no need to take The Journ

To kick off this year’s PlayStation Experience, Sony shared a trailer that saw a woman, dressed in a hijab, traversing a middle-eastern city at night. It wasn’t until the end that PlayStation fans learned what it was, when two characters from Uncharted 4 were revealed. The trailer announces Uncharted: The Lost Legacy , a standalone DLC experience for Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 4: A Thief’s E

The stakes don't get much higher than trying to prevent a race of synthetic beings from wiping out every last trace of intelligent life in the galaxy. That's the task that falls to Commander Shepherd in Bioware's Mass Effect trilogy, which is set a long way into the future after humanity has managed to tentatively establish itself in the hierarchy of the Milky Way's alien races. This beautiful and expansive science fiction epic captured the hearts of gamers, and with the right director on board could capture the hearts of moviegoers as w

Prior to E3, Sony confirmed that its presentation will primarily focus on four Adventure Games Walkthrough: Death Stranding , Hideo Kojima's first post-Konami project; Ghost of Tsushima from the developers of Sly Cooper and Infamous ; the PS4 exclusive Spider-Man project in development at Insomniac Games; and of course, the long-awaited The Last of Us: Part

Electronic Arts and DICE broke from the current first-person shooter trend and opted to send players back in time rather than into the future of warfare. Battlefield 1 has been a huge success for the publisher and developer, and continues to garner impressive player numbers across all platfo

It's not every year that Square Enix has an E3 press conference, so fans are expecting some big news from its presentation on June 11. We only know of two games that will definitely be shown by Square Enix, those being Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Kingdom Hearts 3 , with the latter expected to finally get a release date announcement after having originally been announced at E3 five years

One of the most unique yet bizarre trailers of the year was Kojima Productions’ Death Stranding Reveal Trailer at E3 2016. The unsettling trailer opens with a quote from poet and author William Blake about holding infinity in the palm your hands. From there, viewers are treated to a cryptic sequence involving Walking Dead actor Norman Reedus and an infant ch

Not entirely encouraging, is it? And yet, that message is the first thing that greets players who boot up the game, every single time they do so (though it can, thankfully, be skipped). Consider it foreshadowing. The Journey is regularly interrupted with control tutorials - almost constantly at first, less frequently as it progres

We've all seen action movies where the hero shows up just in time to prevent nuclear bombs being dropped on the United States. Well, the Fallout series is set in a world where that hero never showed up. What makes the Fallout games particularly good source material for a movie adaptation isn't so much the story, but the setting. When the dust clears, America is a blasted wasteland occupied by small pockets of life including bandits, monsters, slavers, weird cults, military factions like the Enclave and the Brotherhood of Steel, and a whole lot of regular people just trying to scratch a living. For the right filmmaker, this world could be the perfect backdrop for an original story set in the Fallout unive
